liveaqua Posted March 12, 2008 Share Posted March 12, 2008 As many of us know this has been a normal winter in MN.Did you also know that this is the first renewal winter we've had in nearly ten years?By renewall I mean many of the shallow lakes that have become infested with bullheads, carp, fathead minnows and brook stickleback are dead, dead, dead.Maybe now we can get down to some real wetland restoration.and that means shrimp.the loss of fish in these water means we can restock the shrimp insead of just feeding the fish. Keeping the minnow farmers at bay will be the biggest challenge I think but it would be great if the shrimp started stacking up in at least a few more shallow lakes throughout the state.
