Sloughs by Brookings, SD?

I was on my way back from Sioux Falls last weekend and noticed a couple sloughs on the West side of I-29, about 5 miles south of Brookings with people ice fishing on them. I've never noticed these sloughs before and was wondering if anyone knows any info. on them-fish species, structure, depth, etc.?
