Spider bite?

Saturday night our Lab's face started to swell terribly, to the point her eyes were mere slits. Her legs also started to swell quite a bit. Took her to the E-vet, where she received a shot of Dyphenhydramine/sp and a steroid. The Vet thought it was probably a reaction to a Spider bite. Was wondering if anyone else has experienced this.

yeah had the same thing happen to my gsp..face and snout really swelled up..the swelling went away in a couple of days.still hunted like a champ though didn't seem to do any harm in the long run but really gets a guy scared though when you see your dog like that.
