There's a jig for that?

I've used the drop shot technique and it prevents gut hooking them. I admit that they seem to spit it out a lot more then a lindy rig.

yes there is.they say to rig up 1 to 2 ftt from your jig.i was wondering if ppl have used it for ice fishing.

If it's the Cabela's $3 drop shot jig, I'll say first try out the technique and see how it works for you. Then if you think you really need a drop shot jig, you can buy it afterwards.

If you tie a jig on top of another jig, that's two jigs. But the drop shot technique is suppose to get you close to bottom without hanging up on it. For ice fishing, if you've got a flasher, you wouldn't need a drop shot technique.
