JayinMN
Well, you did better this morning then I did. I took a ride down Admiral and up McDavitt Rd and I saw ONE chickadee and a couple crows.
jonny_redhorse
Lol!.....Yesterday really was an exceptional day for sure...not sure what route you took down to the admiral and macdivitt.I never made either road yesterday as my destination was the blue spruce road(on #133) looking for those 3-toed and black-backed woodpeckers..saw both plus there's that private bird feeding station with a ton of birds of every species..great for those close up shots...the people plow a large area and allow birders to photo if they choose..only species I didn't see at the feeding station were boreal chickadees(which I have yet to get a pic of)....the black-billed magpie I saw yesterday(and the pileated) were at a fresh deer kill just east of the intersection of Arkola Road and the Overton (large farm on that corner) and also saw close to a dozen deer on Owl Avenue meandering back and forth...I threw out 25 pounds of black oil seed down at the feeding station on Owl Avenue also.I see they bull-dozed a section line at the feeding site...kinda neat...can see along ways down the newly cleared lanes...next week-end I'll be back down there
