1. lawn mower battery OR

2. vexilar battery (maybe a dumb question)

Has anyone ever tried this? My unit is older without the self-contained battery unit...only clips to hook to a battery.

I just bought a strikemaster electric. Before buying it I read posts here where guys have said they got 16-18 holes with the gel cell contained in the unit. Mine came with wires to hook up to the truck as well. I haven't tried mine yet so I can't say for sure. Guess we'll both find out the hard way.
