Bearfan1963
Made it to the Chicagoland Outdoors Show as I do every year, am started to get a little disappointed in the quality of the show. Prices going up for parking, entrance, etc..., but I used to feel like I got my bang for the buck, and enjoyed walking around with the kids and having fun with them. Not anymore, less vendors, less boats(although I realize the boat show was going on too), less shows and/or seminars, even the kids lost attention after a half hour. The only ones really seeming to try and sell something were the Time-Share people, which are becoming more and more each year. I guess others have become less enchanted also as the traffic was nothing on a Saturday. I was really disappointed and probably won't be there next year. Its ashame too, cause from a kid until now I have always looked forward to the show, and I'm 45.
Mr. Weekend
I have heard from several people that the quality of the outdoor shows have been declining.
Bearfan1963
Thanks Weekend. I was just venting as I have always enjoyed the shows and am disappointed that it is not like it used to be.
lucky enough
I didn't even go this year because of the quality of last year. Plus we found a great place to fish in Northern Minnesota, so we didn't need to set anything up. Last year I went to two different booths for lures. One being Mepps. I tried to buy lures and they told me that they weren't for sale. If I wanted them, I needed to go to their HSOforum. What is the point of going to a show? I thought it was so you can buy the things you wanted/needed so you didn't have to go anywhere else. And so that you could maybe get better prices too. Apparantly, I was wrong.
