After years of faithful service my auger has started to act up. Under load it bogs out and I have to restart it. I've changed the plug and cleaned filter. Is there an adjustment somewhere on it?

Id guess its a fuel issue that might be fixed simply by replacing the gas with gas that has sea foam in it. The carbs probably getting mucked up.

Go to the post on this same forum on 1/14 called Ice Auger Carb Adjusments, lots of good info there. I am having the same problems and hoping their recommendations fix it.

FWIW, on my Jiffy, I started letting it warm up longer, and it make s ahuge difference for me, for the better. Since you have been using yours for a long time, I am sure you are familiar with running it, ubt just thought I would throw that out there for anybody else. I didn't really let mine warm up until reading about here. Now it works much better.

I also adjusted the carb screws "in the cold" rather than in the summer as I had in the past. That made a huge difference in how it ran. Thanks to the info found here!
