0 Jeremy airjer W Posted January 12, 2008 Share Posted January 12, 2008 you'll need to gain access to the back side of the switch. Using a test light back probe all the wires. One will be hot with the key on. Push the switch up and back probe the wires again. There should be power to one more wire. Same for the down position. If either of the two wire power up (not including the one that has constant power) at the same time with the switch in either position than the switch is likely bad. If everything checks out with the switch than likely the motor is bad. Tapping the motor with a hammer may get it to work again to confirm the motor is indeed bad.Hope that helps.
