Remi2007
I just recently purchased a H20 with a Navionics north chip, and when in pan mode it sometimes takes a long time (3-5 mins)for the lakes to appear. The names will be there but no lake or contours. Is this normal due to all of the info on the chip?
0 Fish&Fowl
Do you have the chip activated? Select "advanced mode" from the menu, and once in advanced mode hit "menu" again. Select "map data," then go to "navionics map choice" and choose the region you wish to view. This should get the unit reading the chip, and a small picture of a chip will flash in the bottom right corner of the screen.
0 eurolarva
A lot of times is you have the wrong region selected you will get the lake names and not show the lakes. Navonics is wierd. I fish 10 Mile lake that is almost in Fergus Falls and it is still under the South MN region. Another problem is if you are zoomed out too far you will not read the lakes. If you are seeing lake names then the chip is running. Do a find and look up Mille Lacs and be on the south mn region. You should see all kinds of detail.
