I have a buddy having a B-day party up there this week end ... where can a guy fish the next morning? oh and get a mn license in that area?

You can try clear lake or the better bet would be lake hanska. I caught my first walleye at hanska, and many other fish. There are many different kinds of fish in there: nice perch, walleyes, bass, northerns and others. I would give that a try if you can. Another thing you might try is the minnesota river. Go down the road next to hy-vee towards the river and you will find a boat landing right before it hits the road towards courtland. i always saw people there and i always caught real nice 'eyes out of the river so that might be a good bet. just be careful of the ice. You can get a license at R&R bait and tackle on the main drag in town by DQ. good luck and happy fishing! ><>
