Problems with my 2004 Pilot Transmission

H20fowlr

Question

I have a 04 pilot w/64K easy non towing miles. The car started making a clicking sound. I checked the CV joints(because that's close to the sound it makes - a bad CV joint), and they were fine. I brought it in to the local Honda Dealer and was there with the tech and we determined it is in the transmission. It's in all gears and increases/decreases with the tire rotation. They said replace the transmission. They can only remember changing one trans. on a high milege Pilot a while back(150K). I'm going to ask Honda to "help" out, but wanted to know if there are any experts out there with any suggestions or advice.

You should look into a Pilot specific forum and ask there. I don't know of any at the top of my head but a google search should do the trick. I only know of Odyssey and Accord specific sites, but I know there are Pilot sites, too. Good luck!

Thanks, but none of the sites I checked had any discussions on the transmission. I don't know if I am going to find the root cause, because Honda has decided to replace it. Great Customer support. They have kept me as a supporter of their products by stepping up.
