guts
This post is coming from Kabetogama, folks we have 18-25" of ice throughout Kab./Namakan and Mukooda(for the lake trout fisherman), there is safe ice on the entire trail system and the pressure ridges casusing problems last week have all but disappeared. Sleds and four wheelers can go nearly everywhere and auto traffic in many main lake areas.Use caution on the land trails and portages due to minimal snow, however these areas have been packed. The ice a a good snow cover and is very rideable.Anglers seem to report that when the eyes/saugers are biting, the crappies aren't and vice-versa. Pike are biting well in shallow (12-18) as well as deeper water, perch are spotty and deep. For those that spear, the far East end of Kab and or Namakan is doing the best, which ain't bad. guts <{{{{><
