I need help with my new x-71. I have alot of clutter on the screen. In 20ft of water the top 10ft is full of junk. Any ideas on grayscale and sensativity? How about the other features on it. I havent seen a fish arch since I bought the thing.

Its critical that the transducer is mounted properly. Losen the nut and adjust the ducer on the water moving up or down until you start seeing archs. Make sure your running the unit on manual with the fish ID off. Run the surface nosie reduction on low. Run the unit on the split 2x zoom. You will not show surface clutter looking at the lower 1/3 of the water colum. You also increase pixel size with zoom which helps creates better archs.
