Its been a long time since i have been on this HSOforum.

I just got married in July and my wife has a 6 year old son and he is a hunting and fishing fanatic. He loves to go pheasant hunting with me and the dog. he will walk all day no matter how thick the grass is. Its alot to put up with because he talks all the time asking different questions but i realize he is young and curious. I have watched him shoot his bb gun and my .22 with my assistance and man is he a good shot. I love teaching him all i know about hunting and fishing. My dad used to hunt and fish all the time he still fishes but stopped hunting when i was little. I wish he would come hunting with me and my step son but his body just cant take it. But i do appreciate him for taking me fishing all the time and camping with the folks was a blast and something ill never forget. I hope that is how my step son will feel when he gets older.

It never hurts to bring a kid fishing or hunting its a blast.

I am glad to see you are doing that i introduced my 9 year daughter and my 8 year old step daughter to goose hunting this season and they are hooked:) They can't for me to shoot a deer so they can help butched again like last year. My daughters are already spoiled on fising since my 9 year old has a 3 lb northern to her ice fishing credit and my step daughters 3rd fish ever was a 6 lb walleye caught while crappie fishing, she never did complain one time when I said we had to let it go she just wants to catch something that big everytime now
