cdnfisherman
Picked up an old aluminum boat and would like to "camo it up" for duck hunting. Any thoughts on what type of paint will work the best???
0 oilguy
I painted my Lund S14 and 25 Mariner inside and out last fall with a $40 spray gun from Fleet Farm. It came out looking showroom perfect on my first try. LUND CAMO PAINT PPG DCC27916 I used PPG'S OMNI PAINT instead of the DCC PAINT. It costs 20-30% LESSUse self etching primer on all bare aluminum.Cut back to half recommended hardener and have the people mixing the paint double the flattener. Back up and dry spray the final coat for an ultra flat finish.
0 Guest
I was in the same shape with an aluminum jon jon boat here a while back. After a lot of searching I found that Cabelas also sells Duck Boat Paint in the colors you are probably looking for. The best part about it is that the paint is only $26.00 per gallon.
