Muskies still shallow?

I guess it all depends on what you'd consider shallow. The last follow I had was last week while burning a bucktail in 3 feet of water. Pretty nice fish, too. My guess is that it all depends on weather conditions. If it's cloudy, I almost always fish shallow....no matter what time of year. And if there's food up there, that always helps too. I know some people say that there's always a population of fish that stay shallow, which makes sense to me. After all, I've seen plenty of walleyes in less than 5 feet of water on flat calm bluebird days.

But then again, the last fish I hooked and lost was four days later while trolling in 23 feet of water. Annoying fish.......
