I was having discussion with a friend of mine about spearing, which I don't do as it is hard to spear and release, plus I love catching northern on hook and line. Anyway I believe this is the only "fishing" law that is controlled by the senate and legislature and can't be changed without it being passed by them. Please correct me if I am wrong. Thanks and good luck fishing.
