Bulk Live Bait

Just wondering on everyones opinion on bulk live bait. I was thinking of ordering on line and was wondering what I was getting into? Also how long will this bait last? Thinking of getting maggies/spikes. Let me know.

I thought buying them in the tubs of 100 was bulk. How big were you gonna go? I have a hard enough time trying to keep them alive. I wouldn't buy waxies in huge numbers just because I by the time I have one of tubs almost gone, they're dying anyways. I'm not sure about spikes, I never got big numbers of those. But If they keep well, It would be a great idea.

I always buy a thousand spike and usually am able to use them into the spring. The place I get them from says to store them airtight, no O2, in the fridge. I just take out what I need for the trip and they last all season no problem. I wouldn't buy waxies in bulk, they will all die before you get to use them. Spikes are more lively on the hook anyway.
