Big wind on da way Eh!

If you have a light shack out on the new ice it would be very wise to ancore it well very soon. Big wind on the way and the gusts could hit 50 mph, or better.

I just talked with Stu McKay in Lockport MB Canada, he said it is ripping now and building up more strength fast!

On very thin ice it may be wise to pull the chacks on shore so the wind will not open up the water next to it, seen that happen a lot on early ice too.

Dang! This wind is unbeleivable. Almost 50 degrees too. However, the forecast appears to be of my liking. Below freezing for as far as the forecast goes. Yipee
