Dog training

I have had a 1 year old Chesapeake Bay Retriever that have had for 4 weeks she has bonded with are family.I think about having her trained for hunting at a kennal.Im just concern about having her gone for 6 weeks when Im her 3rd family in her short life.What does anybody thing about this?

Generally speaking dogs are very adaptable. Field trialers move dogs between owners, handlers and different trainers all the time. Most hunting dogs love going to the trainers if you pick out a good one... Lot's of fun things for them to do and learn, plus, She will be so busy that she will be mostly focused on her learning... and when she get's home, she will NOT have forgotten you! That is always big fear of owners, but they always remember.
