I'm fishing a small river yesterday mainly for smallies but have the musky gear for the deeper holes. We hit a nice hole and I fished it thoroughly with a bucktail, topwater, crankbait, and spinnerbait - nothing. My buds are catching some walleyes, bass, and suckers so I rig up a small green jig with half a crawler on it. Flip er out by a log that I'd casted to earlier and tap, tap, fish on. Sure enough, its a musky, not big but low to mid 30" fish. Its in the tree and rolling and sure enough my line breaks frown.gif Dirty, stinkin muskies!
