royalton area

A neighbor of mine said his family owns a 600 acre farm in the royalton area and I am wondering if there are any geese in the general area. I know there are some pheasants around the area, but never noticed if there were any geese.

I had a buddy that lived in Royalton for a few years and we've hunted Rice lake a few times and there are some geese up there. Not a ton, but probably worth hunting. Fields across from his house would have geese in them at some point in the season. I think in that area you really need to scout. This feild would be perfect for weeks but no geese, then one day, boom, geese everywhere for a few days and then gone. When you find em or if the land owner gives you a heads up you'd better take advantage of it because they probably wont be there for long. If you need some help shooting them.....I believe my schedule will be open by then

There are tons of geese in that area. Sit anywhere near the river and you'll have non spot action in the mornings and evenings. Be careful though as there was and I believe still is a goose refuge somewhere around there.
