Guest
Well I was able to get out on Hansen Lake this morning. A smidge over 3", I think a smidge is more than a hair but, less than a little bit! Couldn't find a fish anywhere...not in the narrows, 17' hole or in any of the thick weeds from 5' to 9'. I got to try out the fl18 for the first time though. My only complaint would be that I wish it had a brightness adjustment...man it almost is blinding. It will be great in the bright sunshine but, in clouds or dark it is too much. When I take my eyes off the screen I can't see my spring bobber because all I see are those Bright lines burned into my retinas. I think I will go buy one of those computer screen anti-glare deals and rig it up with a collar to put over the screen when it is not ultra Bright outside. fishfearme
Hansen lake is easy. Try in 28 feet strait out from shore. Let me know how you do.
Guest
I'm going to wait for a couple more inches of ice but, I will try the deep hole, didn't figure they would be setting in the hole at first ice with all those semi-healthy weeds everywhere else? Greg Clusiau
CHIRO: Are you talking about Hansen Lake in the Grand Rapids area? I have no interest to go there but am wondering about other lakes up here. I'm still deer hunting but might hit the lakes this coming weekend. We have a cabin on Bear Lake and that thing is dangerous. I checked it out last weekend while hunting. Thanks. GC
Guest
Greg,No, it is the one right outside of Aitkin. BTW I used to be the Chiropractor in Nashwauk, I enjoyed reading your articles in the Nashwauk paper and caught a few nice Rainbows out of Larue Pit after reading one of them! Also, don't know if Patti is a relative of yours but, I used to rent her place 10 miles north of Nashwauk on 65.If you are ever down this way icing 'eyes and wouldn't mind a tag along drop me a line at [email protected][This message has been edited by chiro (edited 11-18-2002).]
Guest
I was able to wet my line to on green lake near willmar. BUT it was open water caught 10 walleyes and had a blast. That is the closest I got to ice fishing this weekend!------------------FISHSTUNNER
Greg Clusiau
CHIRO:Yes, I know Patti only too well. Her late husband, Dan, was my cousin. We were very close. Sure miss him when the deer season is going on. He was a big part of it.And yes, if I ever get down that way, you're more then welcome to join me on the ice.By the way, I checked out Bear Lake again this evening and could only go out 50' or so before the ice turned bad. No deer yet for me either.Tight lines.....GC
