Yes, it's seriously called Billy Jim Canoes.

My dad says he bought it new in Minneapolis in the mid to late 70's. It's been in our barn for as long as I can remember. My wife and I have decided to give canoeing a try so he gave it to us.

I'm not looking for any specific info, I'm just very curious. I've googled it and searched the web every way I know how but can't find any mention of this humorously named (at least to us northern folks) canoe company.

It's 17', fiberglass and it floats! And best of all it's free!

Thanks to anyone who might have any knowledge of the non legendary Billy Jim Canoe.
