tulikow
I got back from my first Canadian fishing trip yesterday. A group of four of us fished 3 days at Lost Island Lodge. The first day we explored some of the lake and caught a few small walleyes. After dinner the owner's son took us fishing for a while and we caught around 30 walleyes. We had Basil as a guide the next two days and the fishing was amazing. We must have caught hundreds of walleyes, they were bighting so fast I lost track after about 10 minutes. We caught several nice fish slot sized and higher with the biggest around 25". There were also a few pike with one at 28". A pike of about 36" attacked a 16" walleye as it was being reeled in, but came off before it could be netted. We had a great shorelunch meal prepared for us both days and the dinners were very good. It was the best fishing I've ever had and went far beyond my expectations.

tulikow
We were using 1/4 and 3/8 ounce jigs tipped with minnows in 18-25 feet. Color did not seem to matter, we caught fish on white, green, pink, orange, and gold.
