I bought a Doc a couple of years ago, every time I use it the thing digs into the water and doesnt get that nice walk the dog action. What am I doing wrong? Am I jerking too hard or what??

The most common problem people have is their choice of leader. Make sure you are using a single strand jerkbait leader that is longer than the bait you are working.

If this still doesn't work, try working your rod tip towards the water instead of directly away from the bait.

Also, Make sure you have a little slack in yur line between twitches.

I have a DOC that sinks. Thought they were a top water bait?

I use Docs 99% of the time for walk the dog topwaters... Great baits IMHO... And the advice given should make the bait work as it should..
