hunting land

Im pretty new to hunting the metro area, I have to hunt a few small tracts of private land that are not that promising. Im looking to chase the bucks, and I really need some help finding the right public land/special hunts. I have no problem driving up to 1 1/2 hours out. If you have somewhere for me to start I would really appreciate the help. I am also looking for a hunting partner, just about anyone would do, let me knoe if you could help me out. Thank you.

Hi, im new to bow hunting but and have only rifle hunted since 2003 i believe. this year i have done more scouting and have gone to many places. They all show signs of deer and some of the areas are pretty big hunting areas. dont know how much bow hunting pressure they will get but if you want to give me an email i can send you some links of some areas i have researched. It would be up to you to find that special honey hole you like. We did a GENERAL scout of the areas but have not picked spots to either place stands or anything since they all are promising places. We dont really know which one we will end up going to it will be a toss up. what im trying to say is i can give you a general idea of places you can go and what i have seen or not seen. all are within an hour and half drive. where do you live exactly?
