Lake Albert

All,

My wife and I are considering purchasing a lot on Lake Albert (just south of Lake Poinsette on Hwy 81) and am wondering if anyone on this formum can provide information about the lake (fishing, weeds, etc.). I've never fished the lake and cannot find any substantive information on the SD GFP web-site about the quality of the fishery.

It was about dry last year. All the fish winter killed this year. It was good fishing for walleyes and northerns about 5 or 6 years ago. I would guess fishing in albert will take off again if the water stays up. I'm sure the Gfp will stock it. My Dad said they had the dock out there at the boat ramp. First time in 3 years that has happened.

It used to be good. People were riding ATVs across the lake last summer. You do have Poinsett just across the road though.
