Eelpout 'n' ciscoes...How do u find 'em in july?

Heading for Snowbank lake in july...no one in my party , including myself has ever caught a burbot or a cisco. If we get bored , how would you guys fish for these critters in the heat of summer? We just want to see them!!

I know for ciscos, at night they like to come up on the surface and feed on the hatching bugs and such.
