home made goose silhouettes

Recommended Posts

I want to make some silhouette goose decoys to add to my spread. Right now all I am using is tar paper and painting it up a little bit. Have any of you guys made your own silhouettes. If not do any of you have a better idea for me.

Thanks for any help.

All that I know is that over the past few year less is more. A dozen good full body decs and a good call are far better than nubers of less efective decs. I along with my hunting buddies have about 8 dozen full bodies and for most of the year a smaller spread works better. I have personally killed limits in a field with 3 groups on it with 6 full bodys and a well belended blind. My sugestion to you would be to just pick up 8 or 12 GHG motion decs. Good luck!

Yes, I know that full body decoys would work better but I don't have the money right now. I am not to familiar with the GHG motion dekes and their price. Probably only willing to spend $150 on decoys right now and won't spend that unless I am sure I am getting my moneys worth out of them.

Thanks for the help .

Any experience goose hunter will tell you a spread of Black and White silos are deadly on geese. You can make silos out of campain signs, cut a few different shapes and body positions paint the heads/tail white and you are good to go.
