Mounting Hyfax kit to otter sled

Has anyone had any leaks in there tub after attaching the runners on there sled? As they dont recomend any silicone or nothing. Just wondering if I should have to seal the nuts and bolts.

Leaking should not be too much of problem; I would be more concerned about nuts and bolts coming loose. The silicone should keep them in place, personally I would use pop rivets.
