Anyone been out lately?

Was out last two days. Lots of hit and miss, only one hit and miss last night though. Dang was that wind pushing hard, fiddle witht he trolling motor for a sec or two and next thing I knew I was inside the weeds almost to shore. Saw one guy boat a nice and plump 49" ski. OTher than that the lakes have been getting pounded hard. Wondering how everyone else been doing?

was out yesterday caught a 30" thats it that wind was very tough

My only trip so far, several days ago, produced two low 30" fish and several lazy follows by bigger fish. The trick to getting the two was burning smaller baits for the reaction strike.

turnitup, what do you mean by smaller baits, exactly?

The fish I got were on a mepps #5. I really like small bass/pike lures for times like that since you can really burn them easily. The fish dont have time to think just react.
