Hello Again,

I was wondering if anybody could tell me about the ice on the lakes. I wanted to know if the lake had about 2 feet of ice on it a week ago and the temps. have been around 30-40 degrees, how much ice does it lose? i'm just wondering how long the ice will be on the lake. Thanx for any info.

It depends on several factors such as wind, rain, and temperature. This time of year the shorlines will go first. If you can get onto the ice often you will find it safe for foot travel. If this weather holds up we'll be driving out for at least another week or two as long as it stays below freezing at night. You have to check the ice on a regular basis.
