It's awesome to hear about the kids experiences on the ice. I never got into ice fishing until I was about 13 years old.
Perch Jerker, sounds like chasing that house must have been both aggrevating and exciting. I would have been confused when I noticed that my house was gone but it sounds like it turned into an adventure for you guys.
Congrats on breaking your walleye mark Poutmaster.
tjwierz2, I don't think you will have a problem catching your first walleye through the ice. You seem pretty knowledgable, keep working at it.

This is the most I have ever ice fished, and next year I plan on fishing even more. Caught quite a few crappies and pike through the ice...so next year Im shooting for my first walleye through the ice.

My best trip this year was to some small lake near McGregor. First time I had ever fished it. My brother in-law and I were the only ones on the lake that day. We caught over 20 slabs and had 8 flags that day. Nothing better than being the only ones on the ice though.
