AaronM
A couple of buddies and myself are planning on camping a few days on the Canadian side of Lake of the Woods this summer. Not having done this before, what are the essentials to bring? Are there any easy meals for living off a campfire? Thanks for any replies!
Tippman
Might be easiest to do a search for some of the boundary waters outfitters, they have some pretty complete lists on what to bring along for camping trips or what they provide. You can pick which of the items you won't need to bring along as it depends on how much you will be "roughing it". I do recommend bringing pasta, rice, and potatoe mixes for food as they are light, pack easily, and won't spoil. Just make sure to filter/boil the water first. Oh and plenty of fish batter. Good luck
