Where do late season perch go?

Hey guys!

I was wondering where perch go towards ice out? Do they go to shallow spawning bays or do they hang in the deep until ice out! I could use a little info! Thanks guys!

rap is on the right track. They will probably still be deep right now though. Check any structure along flats in 18-30 feet of water. Transition areas are good too (sand/gravel,sand/mud,etc...). The perch will eventually head to the shallows again to forage around the weeds when light begins to penatrate the ice.
