Avid Angler
Hey guys!I was wondering where perch go towards ice out? Do they go to shallow spawning bays or do they hang in the deep until ice out! I could use a little info! Thanks guys!
rap
they'll start coming up shallow again at late ice..------------------http://www.geocities.com/green182day/pics.html
Guest
rap is on the right track. They will probably still be deep right now though. Check any structure along flats in 18-30 feet of water. Transition areas are good too (sand/gravel,sand/mud,etc...). The perch will eventually head to the shallows again to forage around the weeds when light begins to penatrate the ice.Good Fishing, Matt.
