Recommended Posts

Park Model RV (Recreation Vehicle)Cabins are becoming very popular with the outdoorsman and women of the north land. Outdoorsman and women along with baby boomers, younger families are looking for a place to share more quality time with family and friends on weekends enjoying the great outdoors.

Resorts and campgrounds just like the Cactus Resort & RV Park www.thecactusresortandrvpark.com in Perham, Minnesota will give a family,or a sportsman a very economical way to enjoy the maintenance up north cabin experience while not having to spend $200,000.00 to $300,000.00 in a piece of property and a cabin. And with lakeshore prices at record levels, many weekend/vacation retreat seekers are turning to Campgrounds and RV Parks because of the affordability, the ammendities that go with the park, and also being a maintenance free cabin facility.

This truly has become an up north cabin alternative to a traditional cabin on a lake. Where can you get a cabin and a lot for less than a $100,000.00? And more importantly have a cabin that all the outdoor maintenance is done for you. That's right no grass mowing, no snow to shovel, and no leaves to rake! Its totally turn-key, and totally a maintenance retreat cabin.

The estimated value of a vacation home last year was $300,000, according to a survey of second-home owners by the National Association of Realtors. Those who can’t spend that much or do not want to spend that much now have options. You can get on a very nice RV lot ( Typical RV lots range from 2000 sq. ft. to 5000 sq. ft.) that has electric/water/and sewer and again without the weekend chores and do it all for less than $100,000.00.

"I believe this will be really attractive to a lot of people". Says Chuck Minge (Owner of www,thecactusresortandrvpark.com ). With all the lakes, and the hunting land, along with all the golf courses surrounding The Cactus Resort & RV Park it will allow people to have Park Model RV Cabin and have all these resources surrouding them without having to come up with $300,000.00 or more!

A person can now enjoy three Park Model RV cabins at three separate vacation destinations for the cost of one $300,000.00 vacation home. That’s why Park Model-cabin style RVs are growing in such popularity. Typically,a Park Model RV Cabin is 400 square feet or less and are designed for a vacation or weekend use only. From basic designs to upscale amenities, such as bay windows, lofts, whirlpool tubs, fireplaces, full size kitchen appliances, full size bathrooms, master bedroom, screened in porches and decks, the Park Model cabins will range from $40,000.00 to $80,000.00. Just about every Park Model manufacture builds the Park Model RV units for the southern atmosphere of the likes of Arizona, Florida, Texas ect.. These units are typically built using RV materials and components.

The Park Model RV Cabins available at Cactus Resort is built for the northern states like right here in Minnesota! Along with all other neighboring states that have cold winters. Consumers are now able to use their Park Model RV Cabins all year round and not just from May thru October each season. We Minnesotan's love our winters and love to do many activities like fishing, hunting, snowmobiling, hiking, or just to get out of the cities and head up for a relaxing weekend at the cabin!

Since there wasn't any Park Model RV Cabins in the industry that really had the insulation package or the quality window packages of a traditional cabin. This Park Model RV Cabin is built exactly like your traditional cabin. With regular stick built cabins with R-22 insulation in the floor and ceilings and R-18 in the walls, and actual home windows by Jeld Win, Anderson, Marvin, and Crestliner (most of the seasonal Park Model RV Cabins are built with aluminum RV double pane windows which do not hold up very well in our colder fall and winter seasons. These Park Model RV Cabins also come with 20 and 30 gallon hot water heaters, central air conditioning and 40,000 BTU forced air furnaces.

After the Minges came to saw the Four Season Park Model RV Cabins the Minges decided to turn their brand new RV Park into "Minnesota's very first Four Season Park Model RV Park facility". The Minges felt that the consumers will want to have the ability to be able to use their Park Model RV Cabin all year round.

Bill Garbow, National Executive Director of RPTIA (Recreation Park Trailer Industry Association) reported a of record 571 units were sold in Minnesota last year alone. Which was 5.5% of the whole Park Model industry. The highest annual sales in the 20-year history of the park-model business according to the Recreational Park Trailer Industry Association. The highest was in Arizona 822 units, then Florida with 609 units. "I feel that the Minges really have something that is going to be very unique up there in Minnesota with The Cactus Resort & RV Park says; Bill Garbow, National Executive Director of RPTIA. "We are really excited about this project and very interested in the whole Four Season Park Model RV Cabin concept." This project will really develop a whole new avenue for the Park Model Industry" says Garbow. (Note; All Park Model RV Cabins carry the RPTIA seal of approval. This seal of approval says that these Park Model RV Cabins meet and exceed all the requirments of the ANSI 119.5 building codes. Each and every Park Model sold at Cactus Resort and RV Park has been officially inspected on the structure, electrical, and plumbing/heating.)

The typical Park Model RV cabin owner can buy or lease adjacent lots next to their family or friends to create the atmosphere that is associated with the cabin experience. Because of the affordability, additional amenities such as decks and landscaping are within range to personalize their lots. In instances where lots are purchased rather than leased appreciation can be anticipated.

Park Model RV Cabins are not just for the budget-conscious consumers. With land values rising, more resort owners are struggling to stay in business on their seasonal incomes. Many are converting their resort property into for-sale Park Model RV parks. Other resorts and campgrounds are closing and turning into condos or residential property.

The Cactus Resort and RV Park is truly setting the trend for this new industry. The entire RV Park will have four season water/electrical and sewer on each site! In addition to the Four Season RV Park, four beautiful cabin suites are available for rent for guests and family members that may be visiting. The Cactus Resort and RV Park has a very large indoor pool facility with a sauna and hot tub. RV Park owners will also enjoy a up north decor supper club and lounge, a spacious banquet facility that can host up to 300 people, and a 10 lane bowling center with automated computer scoring. There is a trap and skeet shooting range nearby along with 5 championship golf courses and of course a abundance of lakes within minutes of the Cactus Resort and RV Park.
