Anyone have any stories from this weekend from pool two on the Miss.

Going down on the 21st. We will have two boats. I have fished this area for about ten years now and have had only luck with 10-15 lbs range. I know every one ask's this question, but what are people useing down there this time of year. What depths, What bait, What type of hook? I realy would like to hit a 30 or 40 lb's cat this weekend. If this would happen, it would judge my fishing group thought's of going down their for the entire summer again. As well as mine. I feel it could happen, but some advise would help. Thanks and may you 80 lbs's line snap on a big fish this summer(now that would be somthing to talk about, would'nt it).

I think it's a bit early to be looking for flatheads. It could happen, but I think your chances will be much greater in a month or so. The water's just too cold to have them be very active.

i finally got out today, trying some backwaters for some channels. only one i got was about a 2 lb. sheepie. first open water fish of the year though. also gonna try to make it my first fish image on fm, so here goes.
