to anyone with the new 9" 3 blade lazer auger

Just talked to a buddie that contacted strikemaster. They are sending free replacement blades to anyone owning this auger that contacts them. These new blades are made to help cut through the softer ice this year---they were getting alot of reports that the serrated blades were working too good----"chipping" the ice rather than "shaving" it, making it more difficult to drill holes. The new smooth blades are supposed to fix this problem. Just a heads up

Charles, I just contacted them yesterday and the only auger they are having a problem with is the new 9" 3 blade ultra.
