Dual transducer for FL-8?

I have a question regarding the dual beam transducer for the FL-8. I just bought the unit new today and the baitshop guy talked me into the dual beam transducer. Can someone tell me if this is better than the standard 19 degree transducer??? Thanks people!!!!

it's the same as a regular 19 degree transducer or 9 degree transducer, but it just gives u the option of using either one. use 9 when deep, 19 when shallow

I have the dual angle on my FL-8, and would highly reccommend it. If you have to only get one angle, I suggest a 9 or 12 degree.

Look at the vexilar HSOforum . they give a great explanation on cone angles so you can see the advantages of having both
