surewood
I was just wondering if anybody can straighten out the babble that I heard from my dad. I live south of Grand Rapids MN and he was saying something about them turning a lake called Cranberry lake into a refuge. It is located west of Hill City On hwy 200. He also said they are splitting the moose willow wma to make some of it a refuge. Which is south on 169. I know I may be writing to a limited group of people who may know about this area, but any info would be great as I cant find any.
Sartell Angler
I began hunting the Hill City area for the first time this past season but am not too familiar with the area. I would just email the DNR for clarification--usually they respond back within a day or two.
IceHawk
Hill city! That name brings up some memories! I use to hunt deer and Bear up there years ago. Hunted the Swatara state forest off of Shovel lake rd. Anyone know how the hunting is up in that area anymore? Haven't been up there for years but we got some nice deer up there. surewood
Thanks I'll probably call the DNR. Icehawk the hunting is fine but it gets crowded during the deer firearms. That area is my stomping grounds, I only lived a few miles from there growing up.
