Bush

Recommended Posts

I'm needing to do a little sprucing up in front of my house and I have no clue (nothing new there) what to do.

My house is cedar sided and I have a cedar deck on the north side. I'd like to put some type of bush(s) around the deck, or do something, to cover the space from the ground to the deck joists. I have kind of a nice looking place and that area around the deck is butt ugly. The wife planted a couple of rose bushes but that went badly. It's a fairly shaded area and they did not grow.

All yous landscaping dudes.......Thoughts?? Ideas???

Hey Boilerguy...

Send me a photo showing the side of the house and a few simple dimensions and I'll sketch something up for you...

I may not give it to you till bird hunting though... that way I have a work related excuse to get out there. grin.gif Seriously I'll take care of it for you.

Good Luck!

Ken

You could plant Hostas add or place planters with shade flowers. Lilac's might also work but you will need to keep them pruned. Could also use the plastic lattice that is out now to conceal the deck supports. Or any combo of.

Thanks for the idea Bobby. I actually thought about putting up a few lilacs. Then I remembered I have a bunch of them out back along the yard line, and how much the bees love me every time I come by with the mower. How much fun would that be around the deck?!?!??! It would keep the in-laws away from the BBQ that's for sure. grin.gif
