Looking for a resort/guide???

Recommended Posts

I am looking for lake somewhere in eastern Wisconsin, to fish with a group of my friends from Indiana. We would be interested in walleyes, perch, etc. I have never fished this side of the state and i am looking for any pointers of lake, resorts or a guide anyone would recommend. Thanks for any info on this.

My friends are from Indiana so the east, northeast or southeast side of the state would be the best. Also, we are looking for an ice fishing trip for next year, sorry, I did not mention that.

For eyes and perch I'd suggest Larry Smith or Troy Peterson (aka Mr. Bluegill) on the Winnebago chain. Both are first class anglers/guides that could arrange the full package. Another eastern WI winter option would be Lake Michigan Browns, a guide in the Milwaukee area named Eric Haatja has a good reputation.

If your lookin for BIG walleyes, you may want to try Little Bay De Noc on the east border. Escanaba, MI around the Gladstone area. Go to "littlebaydenoc.com" and get the goop.

One of my friends found a resort on the High Falls Flowage near Crivitz, Wisc. at Popps Resort on the last week of Feburary next year. Looks like we will be fishing for panfish, northerns and maybe walleyes. Does anyone have any info on this lake/resort?
