Ant Cat's in the Anoka area

Going to be on the ol' Mississippi this week and next week. Looking to catch my first Catfish. Anyone having any luck?

What kinds of presentations are working the best? Was planning on picking up some chicken liver and maybe some cut up sucker minnows...

Thanks,

Presentation I would just go with a basic bottom rig. Slip sinker, preferably "No-Rolls" are the way to go, barrel swivel I believe it helps with line twist, a 12"-24" snell and what ever hook type you want to go with. I recommend Eagle Claw widegap, bait holders, khale hooks or a circle hook.
For bait, chunks of sucker, shrimp, smelt and frogs if you can find them. Chicken livers works too but I have a tough time at casting them. Around the Anoka area you can find them at either the Pennisula point park or Mississippi Point park from shore or if you have a boat there's some deeper holes just downstream of the 169 bridge.

Good luck
