EyzFishin
I'm heading out to Devils Lake with a group of first timers. First off, how is travel on the lake? We have more than 400 miles to get to the lake and want to know if we need ATVs for travel on the lake or can we drive trucks without issue. Forecast looks really cold here soon, driving around on an ATV at near zero temps is no fun at all! But if we need them we'll bring them. We will be staying at Lakeview Lodge, any advice on where to start from there?
Corey Bohn
Lakeview should be able to provide you all the info you need regarding ice conditions and the bite. They have guides running out of Lakeview and there should be some info available to their resort patrons as far getting you headed in the right direction. Personally, I'd plan on bringing the ATV's because you could be spending some time in the timber and I'd be careful about driving a truck in or near the timber. Again, they should have the best info available for you.
