We (6 fisherman) fished the Red from June 7-11 at Lockport. In 3.5 days of fishing we boated 352 cats. Our biggest were 26 lbs and average size was 18-20 lbs. We used cut goldeneye for bait. We were unable to fish near the dam because of highwater conditions but the spillway was hot as were the river banks down stream. It was phenomenal fishing!

Sturg.......way to go, its obvious that you and your group had a blast!
I'm curious as to whether or not this was your first trip to this portion of the river? If it was, how would you best define your experience catching channels of this size?
