To the Fork and then Stage Coach

Hey Dan,

I'm planning on hitting Lake John Saturday the 6th and the Fork on Sunday and see how Granby's ice is by Monday. I may try Willow Creek Monday if Granby isn't safe. A friend said Granby was frozen last week and he saw a couple of snowmobiles out on the lake. Did you make it to the Fork? How was Stage Coach?

How thick was the ice on the Fork? Let me know where your going to fish this weekend and maybe we can hook up.

I know lots of questions. This will be my first trips out on the ice this season. I'm envious......it's sounds like you've been out quite a few times already.

The Fork has great ice. Solid 7-8" clear lid. Fished there on the 1st and did real well. Had my limit of Macs in 1/2hr. My son caught a nice 22" 4.75 lb Mac. The Coach was a little slow, but the Bows we caught were all footballs. They were all full of crawdads.Only caught 1 small pike. The C.F. guys are having a get together on Granby, on the 7th (Sunday). I might try to get there then.

Mark,There will be a bunch of us. We are meeting at Still water at 6:30 - 7:00 am. I'll have a red F-150 super crew, pulling a small 1 sled trailer. Hope to see ya there,
