Just purchased my first SLR

I am pretty excited...I just purchased my first SLR.

I purchased (used) from a friend the following;

1. Cannon Rebel EOSD

2. Cannon 18-55 lense

3. Cannon Speedlite 420EX External Flash

4. 2 - 1 GB cards

5. Nice bag

6. Few little extras...i.e extyra battery pack

I am going to be shooting mostly High School Wrestling for the most part. I am thinking that my first purchase should be the Tamron 2.8 80-200 lense...what do you guys think?

The camerea is 3 years old...it does not have all the news fetures...but still does a nice job.
