Reporting over-limits online

There is a resort that posts a daily fishing report online. They frequently report that customers catch limits of fish and/or go home with limits.

That's fine. However, they also state that the customers eat fish during their stay. Isn't that over-limit?

Eating fish and having your limit in possession during the same day is illegal. You were over-limit before you ate fish.

I'm surprised that they haven't been called on it.

Well, if they catch a limit. Go in for the night and eat some of those fish. Then the next day they catch a limit and leave.....that is a limit and legal (depending on Possession)

I know what resort you are talking about... The thing you have to understand is that these people she is writing about are staying there for more than one day... There is nothing wrong with coming in with fish, cleaning and eating them and going back out the NEXT day to catch some fish to bring home with you!!! That is what she is writing about!!!

Correct. Possession is possession. (not counting your tummy).

Daily limits yes, you would be screwed. You can only catch so many fish a day...however posession you can eat and re-fill on in a single trip.
